Thanks for the comment AD.

Yeah, some consistent effort on both ends would to wonders. Our defense as a whole has been a mess at times. I do not know if it is a communication issue or what. LSU missed a lot of open looks last night though, and I worry about Kentucky killing us if we give them that this weekend. I expect an improved effort though, a big stage normally brings out the best in players (especially the underdog).

I hope you enjoy the game. I cannot really afford to go right now, but you can be sure I will be showing my support from my house. Go 'Dores!

A preview worthy of the magnitude of this game. I agree that Tinsley must have an excellent game. Hopefully he ate lunch at McDougal's today. I also agree with what the announcers said during the LSU game: Vandy must commit to defense with the same energy they commit to offense. They must make UK respect them on both ends of the court.

My first visit to Memorial this season-- hoping for a good one.

Concerned Fan seems to be taking out his/her (legitimate) frustration with CKS on the author, which really doesn't add anything to the conversation here. The misdirected criticism is especially unhelpful when directed at the person who's doing the most extensive pregame work in the Vandy blogosphere right now.

That said, CKS does some inexplicable stuff at times, and as many have noted, we've learned that the easiest way to beat this team is to run a full-court press.

I kind of thought that was what you meant but I was unsure if it was compliment or not. I really just type up what I see and expect, while trying to be as accurate as possible. I guess me and Stallings must have been watching the same film because, as you mentioned, we look very unprepared when Florida turned up the intensity with their press. Just a classic case of Billy Donovan out-coaching his opposition I guess. It is really unacceptable though, considering we played one of the hardest pressing teams in the nation just four days before.

Judging by the tone of you comments, you seem unhappy with Kevin Stallings. I would have to say that I feel the same, but I am not willing to give up on him just yet. I like to be optimistic. You can be sure of one thing though, this post was certainly not written by Kevin Stallings.

Seriously though, please do not knock Fuller and Parker too much. No on the bench was impressive, but it would have been hard for those two to get going with the three minutes they were given each. Kedren Johnson is the real disappointment off the bench for me, but I am holding out hope for him as well. Just expected him to have a little more offense than what he has shown. Rod Odom is disappointing as well, it is as if he was told to be less aggressive this season and it makes me mad.

My rambling stops there. I appreciate your comments.

Wow your really missing it arent you? You wrote this post about 2 hours before the game correct? Its almost like you got CKS to write this and you slapped your name on it. Granted I didnt read past the 1st paragraph there was no need for me to read any further.
#1. The whole idea of Kyle Fuller and Dai-Jon Parker playing was spot on. They came in struggled guarding anyone on D and turned the ball over. You were semi-prophet on that one.
#2. The fact that you wrote and I quote "their press is not too scary as they are not very aggressive with it this season" makes me believe 100% that CKS wrote this post. This has to be exactly what he was thinking the night before on the plane ride down. Obviously he didnt think it was an issue because the team didn't handle the "non-aggressive pressure" very well. Looked like they hadnt planned for it at all during practice.

Thanks for commenting.

I have to be honest though, I have no idea what you mean by that. Did I say something bad? I know I may have been a little off with the non-aggressive press comment, but that was actually true for their recent games until today. Please elaborate.
